ARTIST BIO

Janice Mills Fine Artist - The Story So Far

Janice originally studied at Chisholm TAFE in the late ‘70s and has also been a Graphic Designer/Artist for over thirty years for publishing, display advertising, newspaper, real estate, printing and sign companies. She originally trained as a fine artist and in 2009 returned to making that the main focus of her business. During 2011 she completed a Diploma of Management and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This qualifies Janice to pass on her considerable graphic and fine art skills to interested students through a 9 week Introduction to Drawing course which she has written specifically for small groups of beginners who want to cover the basics of drawing in a relaxed but informative atmosphere. Having had a passion for art all her life she can relate to the urge to want to draw, paint and be creative.

Being a long term resident in the Mornington Peninsula area Janice is interested in representing Victoria and it’s flora and fauna both in Australia and overseas through her fine art. Much of her recent work is dedicated to the unique beauty in our garden state.
